Sam Taylor-Wood's directorial feature debut 'Nowhere Boy' follows the young John Lennon; and as opposed to being simply a music biopic, this is more of a coming of age story. Beautifully designed by Alice Normington, this is truly a joy to watch. This is what the critics had to say:
'Craft contributions are as strong as they get in British cinema...Period production design by the redoubtable Alice Normington is spot on' (Variety)
'A superior British film about John Lennon's teenage years that smartly avoides the usual pitfalls of music biopics (The Telegraph)
Sam Taylor-Wood delivers in her remarkably assured debut feature'
(The Independent)
It's out now!
